October 2018 Rally

The October Rally at Cozy Acres Campground was hosted by Dennis and Barbara Sarmento and John and Robbie Davis.
Eight coaches arrived on Thursday, October 11th to Cozy Acres Campground in Powhatan, Virginia through the rain from hurricane Michael to Tornado Warnings and Flood Warnings in the area. This also caused some to have to alter their plans for arrival.
During Happy Hour the lights flickered several times and we eventually lost power. We had to make our way back to our coaches in the dark and soaking rain. Everyone retired for the night to dry out with power supplied by generators.
Friday brought beautiful blue skies and power as the remainder of the group arrived. We had time on our own to explore the area and the damage done by the storm. After Happy Hour outside, we enjoyed great burgers and hot dogs grilled by our hosts and wonderful potluck salads from the members of the group. It was great to have Feliza's dessert again.
On Saturday morning we had a potluck breakfast with wonderful choices. We had our meeting after breakfast with our new president Timm Seaman concluding the meeting. For dinner we went to the County Seat Restaurant in Powhatan.
